The Evolution of Design
Dear Customer,
Together we have set trends and inspired design the world over. Now, after 28 great years, LIMN will close from December 15 to January 10 as we contemplate the future of design and the renewal of LIMN. Change is often accompanied by growing pains but similarly brings rewards. We are positive that there are aspects of this change that will continue to benefit our loyal customers like you. We will continue to have a smaller San Francisco store at the same location as well as our Sacramento showroom. The basis for our company’s change has been the rapidly shrinking market coupled with our strong sense of design purpose. LIMN will return to its creative roots and it will be a leader again.
We thank you for your understanding during what has been the largest economic downturn for our retail business. With 45,000 square feet of showroom space, we were too large for the market. We did our best to keep LIMN alive and available to our customers, but the overwhelming costs of staying open at our former capacity during such a depression in our industry has caused us to look beyond our traditional mode of operating, and to innovate. We are looking for the brightest future we can. Reducing our size enables us to strengthen our financial ‘well being’ and provide much better service for 2010 onward.
In the meantime, stop by and choose a piece of classic or contemporary design at 50-80% off before December 15 at our 2009 San Francisco Sale. Watch for a whole new LIMN in 2010. We look forward to continuing to serve you.
Sincerely,
Dan Friedlander

A brand new furniture line is coming to LIMN San Francisco. Straight from Paris, we present EGO designer furniture - "designed just for me" - but we'll let you have it, too. :)
Join us on March 26, 2009, from 6-8p for a wine and hors d'oeuvres cocktail reception. Meet EGO designer Jean Sommereux and view pieces from the full collection.
from the EGO press release:
Maintaining its faith in the firm assets represented by DESIGN, EXCELLENCE, EXCLUSIVITY… AND A TOUCH
The use of fine materials (aluminium, teak, Corian®, Batyline® mesh, Sunbrella® fabric...), the attention to detail and the haute-couture finish worthy of the best French craftsmen - all make EGO furniture the ideal choice for the most demanding outdoor and indoor settings.
With 3 collections possessing very strong identities (PREMIERE, TANDEM, KAMA), EGO Paris offers impeccable products with a range of finishes without peer.
It is up to everyone to make them unique and exclusive, embracing the company spirit of “furniture just for me”.
Freedom of choice and a personal touch are the heart of the EGO Paris concept.
KAMA Collection - Code EM5
Design Benjamin Ferriol & Thomas Sauvage
KAMA (a reference to the famous “Kama-sutra”) is a totally modular, warm and comfortable collection that combines a lacquered aluminium structure with rounded angles reminiscent of the 70’s together with soft outdoor cushioning that can be used in a wide range of positions... A novel, “fun”, modular approach to outdoor furniture. Overturn the codes… and make life more fun!
TANDEM Collection- Code EM3
Design Thomas SAUVAGE
A concept collection defining the French art of outdoor living and conviviality. Ideal for sharing space and special moments with your loved ones.
PREMIERE Collection- Code EM2
Design Thomas SAUVAGE
To suggest elegance and generate desire with pure shapes and noble materials, so that the emotion and beauty are long-lasting. This is the ambition of the PREMIERE collection, so very different with the trefoil form of its special profiles designed exclusively for the collection.
EGO Paris crowned by the Red Dot Design Award 2008, in the « Best of the Best » category
